Sylvia is doing alright. She gave a little hiss when we took her out, but other than that, shes been as docile as she normally is.
She has "slugged out" on us a few times now. This was to be her last breeding cycle. Even though she produced a few live babies, she'll be retired now and just be a content, fat pet. Its safe to say shes a difficult breeder and pregnancies are just too hard on her.
Now our other girl? She pops out babies like a Pez Dispenser. Shes should be dropping any time now.

I can't figure, for the life of me, how that one little baby turned out so dark.
Mom is a regular 'ole RTB

And dad is a light and sexy high pink RTB

I expect dark babies from Eve (Arg x Col) but never would have seen it coming from Sylvia.
Boa genetics make my hair hurt.

Final count:
32 slugs
5 stillbirths
4 live young

They look to be a little premature, so the four babies aren't out of the woods yet.

The large "date" looking things in the first picture are slugs. Boas are live bearers, so when the ova is produced and not fertilized, a slug is produced.
In a nutshell, an infertile ova.

Fe, that one made it, and is hell-bent on taking out as many humans as possible! :D
Of the four that pulled through, that was the only one that absorbed the yolk and started cruising the tank before we started removing them all.
I'll get some pix of it and post them up for ya!

Well... baby anything is adorable. Thats how they getcha. ;)
They are sweet little things, though.

The one little staple gun is doing wonderfully. The other three really have me concerned. None of the three have eaten for me and only one of the three has shown any tongue movement. The little Darkling is showing signs of neurological problems. I'll be taking them all to the vet this week, but they're so small, he may not be able to do anything for them. :(
