Prices of Dubias vary a lot!

I recently got a large colony of dubias and am going to sell off extras in the future. However, looking at what everyone sells them for, it varies drastically. I've seen as low as $0.01 per and as high as $.36 (same size, not talking about sub/adults).

I'm curious, what do you guys pay for them and what do you feel is a fair price to pay for them?

I apologize that I didn't reply quickly. I do have a life, ya know? ;) I pay 25 cents each for my dubias. My geckos go crazy for them so I feel that every penny is well spent.

Hehe, I was just joking around. What size dubias do you get and in what quantity? Have you ever thought about raising some yourself?

Last time I purchased I basically paid .25 a piece but that's also factoring in shipping. Since then, I've started my own colony using those 75 that I did buy.

Oh okay. I get the nypmh size since the larger sizes make me nervous! I get about 40 which lasts about 2 days. I'd breed them but they freak me out!! Lol I only give my geckos them every so often, they mainly eat mealworms. :)

I see you're in California as well. If you don't have success breeding your own and are in Nor Cal, I could probably supply you for cheaper. It'll be a while, I have 5000 nymphs growing out into adults right now and 550 female adults. Might have some extra nymphs in about a month.

I live in norcal by hayward area. Do you live close to there? If you do, can I buy some dubias off you in the future? I would be buying in huge numbers and would most likely purchase it periodically. Inbox me if interested.

I raised them once but they bothered my husband who has asthma and had to sell them off. Wish I could find a local supplier so I could buy them when I wanted to but even the local reptile breeder here (Wisconsin) doesn't use them. He uses strictly mealworms (I buy them from him in quantities lol)
