Problem with Amber eating....

I have a female Leopard gecko called Amber. She is on reptile carpet, with a water bowl, calcium in a dish, and two hides. It has been two days since she's eaten. But the odd thing is that she actually gained a gram, making her 50 grams. Is there anything that I can do to make her eat again? My original plan was to breed her to my male this coming week, but now I have to put it off until she starts eating again. Her tank is right across from the male's tank, but she didn't seem to have a problem with that before. This just happened. Does anyone know why? Thank you in advance!

Have you checked your temps to make sure that they are right? Is she ovulating? Some of our females have stopped eating during ovulation.

I don't see a problem :), 2 days without food is nothing to worry about. Just check your temps and place a divider so that they can't see each other. A lot of females won't eat when they are ovulating. Most geckos won't even eat much right now just because it's winter.

Im agreeing with the others, two days is nothingto worry about and sounds to me also that you have a female that is already ovulating. Good luck!!

The temps are all in check, perfect. Wow, great timing if she's ovulating, wow! I meant that the cage was right across from her, and they're both in the same room, the quietest room. Why is ovulation so important to breeding? Thank you all again so much, and I just got her to eat a mealworm! *Stands up, arms raised in triumph.*
