I have a young male that this fall prolapsed both.
He was a year old and I put him for a week with a year old non-ovulating female while doing some tank change ups.
While he was in with her, he prolapsed both and ended up visiting the vet for some sutures to put everything back where it belongs.
He healed fine, is back by himself and doing fine.
Question I have is this - should I try him this spring for breeding when I have an obviously ovulating female, or is it too much of a risk that he will prolapse again and I should be looking for another male.
I don't want to hurt him if the risk level is too high that he will hurt himself again. But I'd like to give him a chance, he's a nice morph and a healthy boy.
