hey everyone i have a male tremper enigma het raptor who today i noticed has a prolapse.......so far i have been soaking him in sugar water and thats about all i know what to do for it.......he will be taken to the vet in the am i was just wondering if there is anything else i can do for him for the time being

I think what your doing is fine.How many sugar water soaks are u giving him.?

Sugar water is good, other than that, keep him on moist paper towels. Glad you are taking him to the vet right away!

yeah it has a kind of black crust looking thing on it
but since hes been in the water its kind of gone back in but i am worried if it is maybe infected or seomthing?

Your vet will check for that. Sperm plugs can also cause issues. Catching it early will sure make your boy feel a lot better

ok so for the next 7 hours ( they open at 7 am ) i should just keep him on wet paper towels? and im gunna soak him again before i go to sleep in about an hour

oh @ roger i have given him 2 soaks since i noticed it at 6 pm its midnight here now so 2 in 6 hours

just an update.....he decided to shed while this prolapse is happening so i noticed stuck shed on his area so i gently removed it and about 80% of the hemipenis went back in so i am soaking him one more time and im going to put a little vaseline on for a few hours and see what happens

You are doing the right thing. Sometimes prolapses can take a week or two to correct themselves. As long as the hemipenis stays pink and has good circulation, and you are seeing it starting to invert back, then you are probably in good shape. I'd keep him away from the girls for awhile, though.

yeah hes gunna be a lonely guy for a while if you know what i mean xD he will be in solitary confinemant until he is completely healed and i am confident hell be ok thanks for everyones help !!!!!

If he refuses food, don't be alarmed. The boys want the girls right now and that's all they care about. Kudos for jumping on this before it became a big issue!
