Purchased my first breeding pair!

Hello to all. I just purchased my first bonded pair of Lavender Gem Snows from an excellent breeder, Chris West. They are gorgeous! My family has bred exotic small parrots for over 30 years, but my love has always been geckos. My dream is finally becoming a reality. I am going to stay small to keep my quality really high. My question is... should my next purchase be Tangerines? or Tug snows, or Bandits/Halloweens. What do you feel would sell the best for me at first? I am so happy to meet everyone here on the forum and advice is sincerely appreciated. Missy

If your goal is to breed, I would see how these gem snow babies sell first before I spend more. If you can't sell them quickly, are you ready to house them, feed them, care for them, etc. Establish a client base gradually. If your goal is to collect, then collect the morphs you like most and breed them if all goes well. Good luck!

Gongrads Chris is a great guy I have one of his pure afghans, and his gems are top notch. I would stick to one pair to you get the hang of it and room for more. One female lays alot of eggs. Welcome nice to have another new jerseyian here

Thank you so much for the advice. I have had geckos all my life and I already have a top-notch highly respected family owned pet store willing to take any babies that I cannot sell on my own (I will be the first local breeder in my area). I would never produce an animal that I was unsure I could house and care for properly. My goal is to maintain a small scale hobby and to (hopefully) break even. I am very, very responsible for my animals and have raised many babies. I feed only organic with repashy supplementation. I am going to stick to this pair for now and see how it goes, but I would like to add another pair within a few months. Warm regards and thank you for your continued help, Missy

Oooooo. I see lots of people coming on here saying they want to breed, usually with pet store geckos, but Lavender Gem Snows - definitely! I hope to see the babies someday.
