Putting 2 females together

I have 2 female's, one 3 years old the other 6 months. I would like to eventually put them together but I'm not sure how close in size they need to be. The 3 year old is over 80g the 6 month around 45. I know she is not big enough yet, but she is growing very fast. I have the bigger girl in a L and that is where I would like to keep them together. I plan on adding a tile 2nd floor with heat for more room and less chance of fighting. I'm not in a hurry, I have always read that they need to be close in size I just dint know how close.

they should be close in size so the little one doesn't get eaten.

i've housed females together and they will fight a little to establish a pecking order and then get along just fine. just keep an eye on them for a couple days to make sure one doesnt' take too much abuse.
