About 10 mins ago a was cleaning out my gecko's tank and i took out the moist hive which is directly on top of the heat map and whilst i was adding some water i seen two small eggs and they looked all squashed and dented and they were really dry i automatically thought oh they must have died and lifted them out and put them on the side ,i did not change the way they were when they were in the hive i then thought they might all be like that and then put them back in but in the vermiculite we put in for her.

Is this okay ,are the eggs dead ,or is there anything i should be doing ?

Thanks

Are you currently housing a male and female together? Are you currently breeding and asking to see if these eggs are worth incubating? If you are not currently breeding just get rid of the eggs. If you aren't breeding and want to incubate the eggs more than likely they are too far gone without getting them in an incubator ASAP.

i've never had partially dried eggs survive, nor have i had eggs laid outside a laying box survive. if your leo was mated, you'll have another set of eggs in about a month; plenty of time to research egg care and prepare an incubator if you so desire.

good luck.
