Question about housing

I'm the kind of person that would rather have real stuff over fake. Thus, I don't really like fake plants. I have real plants in with my fish. But I'm new to the gecko world, and I was just wondering if I would be able to put real plants in with my gecko? If I can, any suggestions? Thank you much! :D

You definitely can, I'm just not sure which ones, so let someone else tell you that XD Are you planning on using potted plants? Or planting them in the substrate? Which would lead to what substrate are you using. :) I've seen some beautiful live-planted tanks for african-fat taileds... their needs for humidity are a bit diff than leo's though.

I'm not sure how i would do it, I'm using carpet but I would definately not change that substrate. I could always cut a hole in it or something.

Some forum members have used live plants with great success. Pothos works well. Only issue is humidity and substrate issues like Sarah mentioned above.

I am also into the realistic look of vivariums but only when it coincides with the animals' (or gecko in this example) natural habitat. I sometimes see leopard geckos in a "jungle setup". Looks kinda awkward in my eyes.
