Question about moss

I have some moss outside my house and I saw that some people on here use the fake stuff in some of their hides. I tried to search online to see if it could harm them but couldn't find anything.

Does anyone on here know if it's safe? I don't want to put it in there until I know for sure

I wouldn't put anything from outside in with your gecko. You don't know what could be on the moss or if it would make your gecko sick. The moss would have a hard time staying alive since leopard geckos have such a dry setup. Now if it's for a crested or the like then it's better suited. I would just buy real moss from a supplier so you know it's safe.

I agree, you never know what bugs or parasites could be in it...and better safe than sorry, the moss at the store isn't expensive and you know it's safe
