sorry for the same post in the other section thought i was in housing.....I have thermometer probe with a reptitherm500r thermostat connected to my UTH...am I crazy or does it make sense that before the thermostat when temperatures reached 95-98 on his hotside the sand felt much warmer then it did with same temperatures using the thermostat basically in the middle of high/low. I feel like hes not getting nearly as much heat, but I just get uneasy seeing numbers go past 98-100. Aswell, is there a sweetspot for these thermostat probes if your using a uth?, im palcing the probe top surface of the substrate in the middle of the uth...should I put it directly on the bottom of the substrate?.
