Hi all,

I've laid out the UTH cables under my tank and I have excess.

Is it ok to coil the excess cables and place them under the tank ?

Will the coiling of cables damage the UTH ?

cheers

Are you using an under the tank heat mat or a heat cable?

I'm sorry-but I'm not clear on which that it is that you are using

It sounds as if you are using heat cable and that it is too long for the area of the tank that you want to use it on
Is this correct?

If it is a heat cable-I would not let it stay in contact with the cord part of it for prolonged periods of time

It just doesn't sound safe to me

Hi Sandy,

Yes its an undertank cable, and not a heat mat.

Thanks for the feedback.

Cheers
