Question about UTH

So Im setting up an enclosure in a 20 long tank. Im going to use play sand with slate tiles on top. What would be the best way of heating the enclosure. I am thinking a combo of a CHE and a UTH. My question is, what would be the best size of the UTH so that it warms up the slate with the play sand under it.

I am doing the same substrate and going to go up a size on the UTH. I am going to do a 40 gallon but going to use a 50-60 gallon UTH and a thermostate.

You could also try heat tape with a thermostat. It might need a higher temp to heat the sand & the tiles. to the right temperature.
