OK, after all those questions and inquiries about Megaray, I have decided to go with...Arcadia UVB fluorescent tubes! Anyways, I read Arcadia's FAQ page and it says without a starter switch, the lamp will flicker. But then on another site, the description says the starter switch is for use with the Arcadia controller which I will not be using. I'm lost, I have no idea what they're talking about. Isn't installing UVB tubes as simple as just plugging it in the fixture?? Where does the starter switch suppose to be attached to?

The reason I chose Arcadia D3+ T5 tube (12%) is because they provide a nice full spectrum and the UV output is much higher than Reptisun 10.0; so I don't have to get the dragon too close to the source. The only problem is, our distributor only carry aquarium supplies; they are willing to special order for me, but I have to buy in bulk. So, I really need to figure out exactly what I need and submit my order to them in one go.

Thanks Kel! I figured out the starter switch is mostly built-in, I probably don't need to buy extras to add to my fluorescent.

No I wouldn't think you would since most have them built in but just be sure to read the packaging carefully on whatever you get to make sure it has the started built in. Glad to help :)
