<---This is Dante my leo(my avatar). I was wondering if I might need to plump him up maybe? Or is he at a good weight? Hes about 6 1/2" long. If so what are good feeders I can feed him? Right now Im feeding him crix and mealies.

How old is Dante? His tail looks a tad bit on the skinny side, but it could be that he's still a baby or it could just be the angle of the photo. Do you have any other pictures of him? If you know his exact weight and age, please let us know.

Crickets and mealworms are excellent staple foods for your leo - but make sure to gutload them first. If you don't gutload your feeders, it's like feeding your leo skin and bones with minimal nutrition. Plump them up with gutload 24 hours prior to feeding. How much are you currently feeding Dante?

As a treat, you can give 1 or 2 wax worms every 1 or 2 weeks, but not too much because they are fatty and highly addictive - so any more frequent, your leo may refuse all other food and eat waxies only.

As a reminder, dust with calcium every few nights and multivitamins twice a week.

No sorry I dont have any better pics and I think hes a year old, Thats what I was told. i figured his tail was a bit skinny from other pics i saw of leos. right now i feed him mealies every day amd crickets every other day but he prefers mealies over crickets, i figured mealies are better because their fatter and have more protin then crickets right? I'll try to post more pics but i'm still trying to learn how. Also i'm trying to find super mealies and wax worms around my area. Is there any other feeders I can feed them?

Yeah from that one picture, he does look skinny for his age. But no worries, just bump up the number of mealies you're feeding if he finishes them all in 1 sitting. You can even leave a dish all day. What are you using as gutload for your crix & mealies?

And actually, crickets have a little bit more protein, but doesn't look by much. Here's a reference for the nutritional value of the different feeders [http://www.grubco.com/Nutritional_Information.cfm.

Like I mentioned above, you can also feed your leo 1-2 waxworms every week to every other week - just make sure they're spaced out so that your leo doesn't get hooked on them. They're not very nutritious, but they're high in fat, so it'll fatten up your baby's tail. I currently feed mine 2 once a week and she still readily eats the rest of her mealworms and crickets.

I've heard other people try butter worms, but I haven't tried them myself. Other popular choices are roach nymphs and the occassional pinky mouse for larger leos and egg laying females. Good luck and let us know how your leo does! :)
