Question on tokay sexing

I understand on tokays the males have wax protruding from the v shaped pores, the females have the same pores only with dents and no wax. My question is if you have a tokay with the dents in the pores is it a female? or could it develop into a male with age mine are about 4 1/2 months old and 6-8 inches long

So could a young male show dents with no wax?

you might need a 30x loop for this , but take a really close look at the pores that form the "v" pattern. if the pores are enlarged or excreeting anything its likely a male. also much like other animal species the males generally have much better coloration than females.
