Hello,

I'm brand new to this forum. So far I love it.

I have a question though.

If I were to ship a leo to someone, what kind of shipping box do I use?

Where do I Get it?

What needs to be in there?

I'm sorry if I'm posting in the wrong section of the forum, but all you experienced reptile "Shippers" know this stuff.

Thanks,
Wreptile (Hayden)

has everything you need. The box is insulated by either 1/2 inch foam on all sides or by 3/4 foam. you would then get deli cups the 8OZ 4.5' ones are good for any sized gecko(well except a BIG adult). If its cold ( under 50F or so) then you would need to add a 40H heat pack. They are oxygen activated so you just open the package and stick it in the box. Make sure to keep something in between so its not directly touching the geckos. If its hot then you would get the 1/2 pound ice pack and do the same as the heat pack. For a "barrier" around the deli cups you can used either foam pellets or crumbled newspaper.
If your just ship out 1 or 2 geckos then I would get the supplies from a local store. Target = boxes, plastic container and packaging tape ,home depot/lows = foam and that's pretty much it. You can also get boxes and tape at a local UPS/fed ex store and foam pellets too.
This is an ok website to read :)
