QUESTION?

:main_huh my son (my gecko lizard) was lost in my friends house for about 3 months and has been found, they just need my help to catch him.

im estatic! but here is my dillema. i am 5months pregnant. as long as i wash my hands and have someone else clean his tank, we should be ok?

should i have someone keep him for me till i give birth?not the people who were keeping him since they obviously lost him but...

I wouldnt worry about it too much as long as you wash your hands and practice good hygiene with it. while my wife was pregnant we had turtles, snakes, and we had no problems.

There has been many conversations about this and the general consensus is as long as you always wash your hands like you normally would, everything should be fine. Reptiles aren't a danger to you or your baby's health anymore than they usually are.

Lost for 3 months?? What did it eat in all that time i wonder? well i assume bugs....but wow, thats amazing that its been found.

i agree that's wild it was found. i wouldn't worry too much just make sure you wash up well after handling the lizard and all its food.

If your afraid of messing with the gecko have someone else clean and handle him or equip yourself with some gloves and antibacterial soap and wash like the surgeons do
