ok i have read that you need to have a bowl with calsuim in it at all times in your gecko tank. i have seen a lot of pics with people feeding meals in a bowl with a white powder in the same bowl, is this calsuim or what? can some one please explain this simple thing to a newbie!! lol thanks

some people put calcium in their meal worm dish.
I do sometimes. I don't most of the time.
Why?
Because my leos don't always eat their mealies the day I give them.
I find that calcium tends to dry them out.
so, I put a pinch of gut-load in with the mealies in their dish, and a carrot wedge or two for moisture.

That's most likely what you're seeing.

I do this sometimes so i can get some extra calcium in the geckos because when they go to eat the mealies they get some calcium to.
