Ok I wanted to know how many of you have bred mothers back to their own offspring or fathers etc, and is this a known cause of deformities from those parings? Is it just a risk that you have to take or is it just a big no-no? I haven't got that far yet of course to even consider it, don't know if I would even do it.

It's fine to do it, you just want to outcross every few generations. I was planning on breeding two SHTCTBs het Tremper, back to their Tremper dad, but I've got a new awesome Tremper from Marcia, that I'm going to breed to them. I'll be holding back a male bell hatchling for a back up male, that may end up breeding back to it's own mom.
