I'd like to get a crestie in October when I go to the reptile show closest to me. It's nothing special but there were some really nice cresties and nice leopard geckos last time I was there.

I just wanna make sure everything I researched last year was still right.

10 gallon tank for the babies/juvies with lots of foliage such as fake plants, vines you can stick to the glass for them to climb on.

Lots of places to hide. Paper towels as substrate since they can ingest any loose substrate when they are small or even adults.

Mist the tank daily and keep the humidity around 70%? They don't need a water dish because they will lick the water off the glass and leaves.

I don't need any lights but keep the temps in the 70's to mid 80's but no higher.

Last but not least they eat crickets but I've also been told you can mix the diet of crickets with baby food or replace it all together with the crested gecko diet.

I think got the majority of everything. Oh and the tank will be ready to go before I bring said crestie home.:p

i think your all set, except im no expert but i know you want toput a bunch of foliage and a bunch of hiding places, but if you get a hatchling you may for the first week or so not want to out as much sso it can easily find its food and get used to where it is,, but other than that i think your all set

Only thing I would say is go with a 29 tall, why get a 10 for a baby when you will need to get a larger one soon anyway, go with what they need as an adult and save money in the end.

I give mine a water dish, Ive seen them drink from it and even if they don;t it helps with the needed humidity.

Crix a couple of times a week and crested gecko food, or mashed fruit daily (peaches, bananas or you can get the baby food version, I prefer to mash my own fresh fruit) Add a little calcium to the fruit a couple of times a week.

I already have a 10 gallon and I wasn't sure if putting a baby in a big tank was a good idea. I was thinking they would be stressed out from all the space.

I'll probably just use the 10 gallon for a month or two then get the 29 tall.
