Questions about my facebook buisiness page

Hi all! I am nearing the completion of my faceook page, so that I can begin selling my geckos more publically! And I have a few questions.

Is it okay if I include a link to this website, and list it as a great resource for leopard geckos?

Do I need a buisiness liscence even though I am so small scale? And I am under 18? (no one around town has a straight answer for me. If you are a breeder in Nevada, maybe you could answer that?)

Would anyone be willing to read over the page when I am done, and give me some suggestions to make it better, or improve on any TOS that I may have missed? I dont want to end up in any legal binds!

Thank you all, and hopefully I will be done with it shortly! I may even kick start my "grand opening" with an auction!

I'd be glad to look over the page. Also, I don't think there is a problem with anyone linking to GeckoForums.net (in fact, I wish more breeders would!). I can't help with the NV business question.

Well, first thing I notice is that there is already a "Sin City Gecko", so you may face an annoyed business owner or have some very confused customers. :( Try doing a Google search for names you are considering to ensure it's not already been used by another breeder.

The page is looking pretty good though. In the For Sale album, the word "guarantee" is misspelled in a couple spots. If you're going to be based only on Facebook, you might consider adding a caresheet (or a link to your favorite one). Besides that, being active on Facebook groups for leopard geckos will get your more followers/likes once you do get rolling.

Darn, and i thought the name was original! Lol! I'll look into finding a different variation on it shortly. And thank you for pointing out the typos, I always misspell that word... And I will actually be making a caresheet soon, I just need to take pictures and such :) Thank you very much for the input! I will probably ask for a review on the care sheet once it's done also :)

It appears that the other buisiness "Sin City Gecko" hasn't been active since 2012. And the spelling of mine is different by one letter lol :D Do you think that I should still change it?

And you will need a tax I'd number in the state you live in. Also sin city gecko already exist and was once a sponsor here so I would change the name ASAP.

Okay, I changed the name to "Sin City Leopard Geckos"

I did some reasearch on the tax ID laws for my state, and it says that I only need one if I have any employees or if I put anything to do with the buisiness on my tax returns (I'm 17, so I don't have to do tax returns yet). My social security number is what I can use instead.

I believe that I qualify as a "sole proprieter" buisiness, but I'm not positive.

Ill ponder on some new names... I just want something that sounds really neat too :D Hopefully I can figure out something that no one else has so that I can have my own "brand" or whatever :) Thanks for the input guys! I really do appreciate it!

Las Vegas Leos is pretty good! But of course, you should think about it and choose your own name.

Even though Sin City Gecko isn't active at the moment, it could be /really/ confusing to have another breeder with the same name. All the geckos sold by Sin City Gecko will be alive for many, many years, and people will be breeding them and noting they are from Sin City Gecko lines. Plus which, Sin City Gecko could always come back from hiatus and become active again. :)

Do try and make it unique. I am having issues now with another breeder that is using my name on FB. My site is GULFCOASTGECKOS (one word), and this person is Gulf Coast Geckos. I am surprised FB allowed him to use my name, but as you can see there is a difference.

scm133, I saw that breeder, and I became very confused for a moment! I ended up coming back on here so that I could follow the link to your page! And Las Vegas leos is definately being considered :) I just want to figure out some other names so that I can figure out which one will work best for me :D I'll let you know what I settle on soon hopefully!
