Questions on my rack system

Hi,
I am new here. My husband and I have lots of Ball Pythons, so we know lots about them, but we only have one Gecko. I would like lots more, but first I wanna make sure I am housing them correctly.

1. For our balls we use melamine and flexwatt heat tape as under heat. Do we make them the same way for the Geckos.
2. What bedding is best to use. My friend uses sand, which is what I am using now, but I've been reading it's not so good for them.
3. What is the best temp for hot spot.
4. Does it need humidity like balls do.

I'm sorry for all the questions. I was looking around, but thought I'd just ask them.
Thank you

Lots of people use heat tape, so hopefully they'll reply soon. Personally I am currently using a ten gallon tank with a UTH.

Paper towels seem to be the bedding of choice. Though as a more natural looking substrate tile works great too. Just make sure that the tile doesn't have a slick finish so that your leo doesn't go sliding around all the time. Sand is indeed a very bad choice as leos can ingest it and become impacted by it. Impaction can be, and usually is, fatal (from what I've read).

The hot spot should be 90-94 F. And that should be provided by belly heat, as bright lights stress leos out, and they need belly heat to properly digest their food.

Yes. A humid hide should be provided to aid in shedding. I use a tupperware container with paper towel in the bottom, and just mist it daily.
