I have only had one clutch laid so far, but it seem that the female is not protective of her eggs. I am pretty sure Leos tend to find a spot with good conditions, lay and forget about it. I hope this helps!
My female gets very agitated if I try to move her eggs before she's done burying them (this takes a good half hour, as she digs them up and reburies them if she didn't like it the first time). After that, she couldn't care less.
