Last year I had purchased from Pat of Luxurious Leopards a beautiful LV albino stripe, Vegas, and a banana blizzard, BB. They grew up to be beautiful girls. Unfortunately I awoke one night to the sound of a tank crashing. I got two the living room and found that my 2 kittens had somehow knocked over my 20 gallon where I kept them and my tremper albino female. They had killed both Vegas and BB and were "playing" with my tremper, Gundhara. I managed to save her and somehow she was not harmed. I have her set up in another tank and in an area where they can't get to her. I'm going to miss both those girls. Vegas and BB were my boyfriend's faves and he is really upset by this.

No, unfortunately I don't have a room where the kittens can't get to. It's just a matter of keeping in mind where I place things and make sure I don't have anything close by that will make it accessible. It's easy to childproof a house. Kitten-proof, different story completely. :brood:

Thank you Fe. I have the tank up against a wall and it is attached to the wall by means of a rope. The tops has clamps. Hopefully that should do the trick. May consider getting another leo. Still debating.

Sorry for your loss. That's terrible when one pet kills another. I had a snapping turtle that ate my brother's hamster when we were kids. The poor hamster escaped and fell into the turtle tank. I felt terrible.
