I bought my storage building today and will put it together soon and clean out the little 1 room looking playhouse. (whatever you want to call it).

Before i make a rack i have read about tubs that people are using, My problem is i cannot find what i call a deal on these. using everything the same what would you all say about using glass aquariums. I can get these for $8 or $10 each, I cannot find tubs like described for under $15 plus shipping. Need some thoughts about this, I am sure i will loose a little room because of this can i get some pros and cons on this we are 2 weeks away from the project starting. Thanks again all

Glass tanks take up more room are less easy to clean because they are heaver and they crack fairly easy, well a lot easier compared to plastic tubs . which are pretty hard to crack and are light weight and stack much better for storage.

You should be able to find tubs of all sizes I guess depending where you live. At
Target, Wal Mart Walgreens or other drug stores, The Container Store. Maybe Home Depot. or other hardware store. We have OSH here in Cali not sure if there are any in Georgia. They usually average $1.50 to $5.00 depending on size.

If you are talking about Leo's there are usually three standard sizes used for leos the small ones 6" x like 14" for hatchlings and juvies the mediums are like 10 x 16 for sub-Adults and adults and the large size which is about twice the size of the medium one for adults, giants or pairs

Ok i got my new building almost set up still need to add the roof and move all our junk out of my other little house. I got my heat and cooling issues fixed for my room as far as general tematures. I got tubs.... Now here is my new question. before i buy and start building racks.... on my tubs does everyone like lids on or off. if lids on do you put air holes in there as well

This is a rack I made for my boas.It holds 7 41qt tubs.I built it without the lids.I find it alot easier without them.Otherwise you would have to take the whole thing out to check the animal.I used melamine from Home Depot,11 inch flex watt, and a Johnson 419A and it works great.Deffinately use melamine and not MDF.It is sealed and will not mold like MDF.You can get iron on edging for the exposed edges.
