Rack Questions

I'm looking at building a small rack for my one project and ran into a few things I had no answer for. First how much floor space is needed in the tub housing an adult and how much would be needed to house 2-3 female's offspring (till I decide which ones to keep to breed together). Second how much floor space is needed to keep a breeding group of 1.3 together(unless its better to keep them 1.1 and move the male around but the females are all gonna be the same and he already has his own tank and will come out after he mates.)? Reason I ask is because I know some people keep them in 6qt plastic shoe boxes and this seemed to be alot less floor space than a 10Gal which is the min. requirment for single leo. How can they need one amount in one but less in another?

I personally house everything seperate. I use 15 qt sterlite containers. If you insist on a 1.3 group you could get away with housing them in a 32 qt sterlite, but like I said i like to keep everything seperate, then who know exactulyl whose eggs are whose, you can make sure no one is getting bullied, everyone is eating right. I also recommend keeping hatchlings housed seperate for the same reasons. I use 6 qt sterlites for hatchlings
