Rack System.

I have set up a rack system for my geckos but have yet to add the heating option. Which is the best heating option and where is the best place to purchase it. For example if I chose heat tape where is the best place to buy it. Since I only need like 21 feet of it, I would rather not purchase a whole roll.

Reptile Basics and The Bean Farm are two that I have dealt with, both sell heat tape by the foot.

i used the bean farm for my heat tape. just do yourself and your wallet the favor and dont get the plastic covers for the flexwatt connectors. instead go to home depot or lowes and get a bottle of liquid electrical tape. it works great and makes your connections lower profile than the plastic covers. also it saves about $2.00 per connection as well

how in the world did i miss liquid electrical tape? do you just melt off the plastic coating on the tape at the connection point?

I use a dremel with a buffing wheel and then solder the wires on.

I like heat cable because it is more simple but I use heat tape because for most racks thats what its desighnd for. Sent from my P.S.P
