Rack tub upgrades and a silly question....

Well it is a new year and I wanted to make the leos a bit more cozy. After weeks of watching these forums and see what other reputable keepers use I have made some changes. Here is a few pics..

Now my question is this. You see the water and food dishes I am now using. This is because my leos LOOVE to dump everything over in their tank. These are a bit more sturdy and have lipped lids. However since I started using them a few days ago I have not seen anyone eating or drinking out of them. In fact yesterday on of my leos was eating mealies I dropped from the dish into the tub. Are they just stubborn or are the dishes being clear not enough?

They may be too tall. I would recommend using tea light candle holders. They are hard to tip over and are very shallow. They also only cost $3 for 12 of then at Ikea.

Ive used these with great success. Cheap, easy, easy to clean, no spills, and it does a good job keeping mealies in the dish (not so much with supers). You can use them for both water and worm dishes. And you can get 50 of them for $10.
