I have most of my geckos in my rack system. The problem I'm having is that the actual tubs smell awful when you first pull them out. Usually it's when they deposit their feces, which is quite often. Does anyone have advice for me? Thanks!

I use Wipe Out to clean my geckos poop spots. It's a really good deodorizer and kills all sorts of nasties as well.

I have all mine in racks too and don't have a problem with smell at all. Even fresh poo isn't that terrible. I clean after every second feeding and spray with water and wipe any residue off if needed when I clean. I also wash out and deodorize tubs with Novalsan about every 4-6 months depending on how messy the gecko is. I have 10 1/4 inch holes drilled into the front and back of every adult bin and 8 drilled in the hatchling bins. I also have an air purifier in the room to increase air circulation and cleanliness. If your geckos poo smells really bad I might suggest having a fecal done as that can be an indicator of parasites. If you're feeding wax worms or pinkies I've found the poo from those smells waaaay worse than mealworms, supers or dubia.

More vent holes, more air flow, putting a huge block of unused charcoal or activated carbon, putting a small wide-mouthed jar filled with baking soda and screen-covered to prevent anything from getting in usually does the trick for me

agree with the others. increase the airflow. in crease airflow will be beneficial for the geckos health as well as the smell :p
