I dunno how to say it but I would like to ask you something.
If you have a Leos that was born 05.07.07 and has 23-25 gramms.
When would you say is he breedable? You have to it is a male.
I mean how long would it take to have him around 45 and which age is the normal age to breed them.
I´m asking cause my breeder males are around that age and I´m asking myself if I can use him next season for breeding. I think I ealierst can use him in the middle of the year but I´m not sure. How old does a male need to be?

THX for reading.

bye

I have heard that some males can breed at 35 grams, but I would wait until he is atleast 45 grams (about 7-8 months old). Over in Europe you guys do your date differently 05.07.07 reads May 7, 2007 over here in the U.S.. But in Europe I think it means July 5, 2007. If that is the case (July 7, 2007) come breeding season he should be ready to go.

I think you will easily get him close to his full size to breed with him.

Leos can get to near full size in a year, or even less, then the growing slows down and does not stop until somewhere between 1 1/2-2+ years in age. They will grow alot more in the first several months to a year, than they will once growth slows. So not a problem.

It depends on the animal, but some will get to "breedable" size, and not know what to do. Alot of times you can get them to that size in several months, some just take longer than others to be ready in my experience.
