All of these pictures were taken back home on the farm. Just thought I'd post them because I feel like it.

Anyhow, here are two pictures of the Koi pond. It's really hard to get decent pictures of the fish when they keep zipping around and when the water is murky. The fish don't mind the murky water, and it actually protects them from predation by hawks, herons, etc.

These are flowers

This was kind of odd. It looked like the neighbor's house was going to get "beamed up". It didn't, though.

And these are two fledgling Mourning Doves. Their mom flew off before I could take a picture.

And now for the cats...

This is Cleo, my ex-cat. She's freakishly small and approximately 10(?) years old. There's something wrong with her, she just sits in random places, staring into space for hours on end, and ignores everything going on around her. We call her the "Stephen King Kitty".

This is Maddie, the other indoor cat. Maddie is almost five. She's equally evil as Cleo. She's huge in comparison, and I'm pretty sure she could eat Cleo if she tried. Maddie broke her hip when she was just a few months old, and had to have it completely rebuilt. Hence, we call her "Robo-Kitty".

This is Sam. He showed up out of nowhere last summer. He hasn't left, and I don't think he plans to. He's pretty cool though, because he's the best mouser I've ever seen. So he can stay.

And isn't this what all cats do??
Perhaps, but she is EXTREME about it. She won't even blink if you throw stuff at her (soft, harmless, light-weight cat toys, of course). Plus, she has set herself on fire no less than six times. When she lived with me (before she yanked the heater out of my 150 gallon reef tank - killing nearly $1K worth of fish) she would sleep inside the tv stand on top of the DVD player and would make it get so hot that the player would quit working. I swear she reached temps near 150 degrees.

Here's another picture showing one of her 'other' personalities.

Great pictures Paul!

My kitties don't stare into space...much. They're actually attention whores, and you can forget about having peace and quiet when it's dinner time. I swear Troi is going to get into screaming matches with the baby. Also, Mitsu plays fetch....seriously. He taught himself, and almost always drops the toy right at our feet for us to throw again.

That tom cat looks like he's a good mouser!

That first koi pic would make a good painting.

Paul,

These photos are beautiful! I would love to have a Koi pond, put a little bench near it so I can look into and everybody would know where to find me! I could watch them for hours on end. My ex and i used to have a 210 gallon (I think) fish tank. We had Arrowanas (SP) Peacock Bass, Clown Knife Fish, and a few others I can't remember. We used to just sit by the tank with the lights out except the one on the tank and just look at them for hours. It is so relaxing.
