Random Pooper

I seem to have a random poop-anywhere-pooper. My other 4 leo's established their poop area immediately. They are amazingly accurate when it comes to hitting the paper towel square I put in for their toilets.

I've now had Sophia 2 weeks tomorrow and she seems to just poop in random areas--never in the same spot twice. It's kind of a bummer because I change carpets once a week and hers will really be needing it by then. I do try to get it off the carpet each time but it's never as clean as it would be if she'd do it on a darn paper towel! lol! Any suggestions? Does anyone else have a random pooper?

How old is Sophia? If she's a hatchling or still very young, this could explain the behavior. Baby leos seem to care less about designating a particular spot to use. Maybe she'll establish one as she grows up.

You can collect her poops and put them in the corner that you most want her to poop on. Hopefully she'll recognise that corner as the final poop corner. However, I do have 2 leos that poop along 2 full sides of their tanks; I just lay paper towel along the whole edge...

As a juvenile, Saphira would poop in random spots around the side of her tank. After about a month or two she finally settled on the back right corner over her UTH. Maybe yours is just being freaked out by the paper towel??

My leo finds a good poop spot and keeps it for a week and then moves to a new poop spot. I think he's trying to hide it, but I'll be damned if I let that happen!
