I have been into photography for about a year and I LOVE it though I pretty much suck. I do get lucky now and then. I plan on taking some courses while I am in college. Here are a few random shots I taken over the past year or so. C&C is always welcomed.

Thanks. Those were shot with either a Nikon D80 or D200. I had a D80 and sold it and bought a D200 which is was I have now.

Here are a couple more fire fighter shots since you liked that one...

Great shots of the fire fighting. I was going to say that having a black and white with the fire in colour would be a great shot ;) That one is impressive!

How did your friend get the view from top? I mean I'm guessing it's a hellicopter/plane. But just wondering how they were able to get up in it and how you got the great Fire Fighting shots?

A friend of mine has a plane and another friend of mine was going to go up in the plane with the owner and he offered to take the camera up with him to get some shots. He was actually there as a fire fighter and I was there as a deputy sheriff helping with crowd control. That is how I got all the fire shots, I was working and I was on scene. I am also a volunteer fire fighter but I don't take pictures when I am on the scene as a FF.

Very awesome photos! You're doing amazingly well for only being into photography for a year! Much better than I have been my whole life, lol!

I love #2, just looks so clear and I love the well blurred background. Many of the others are awesome as well.

What camera/lens are you using?

My camera now is a Nikon D200. The most of the picture above were taken with it, or my old D80. The lenses I used in the pictures above are either a Sigma 30mm f/1.4, Nikkor 50mm f/1.8, or the Tamron 90mm f/2.8 Macro.

And thanks for the comments everyone.
