Anyone else notice that the colors of our RAPTORS are a lot less vibrant than our APTORS.

What are your thoughts?

As a result of the less intense colors, I enjoy the APTOR look much more.

The tangerine in APTORS can be very impressive.

I think it alot to do with the breeding when the APTOR first came into play and you are breeding for APTOR's breeding mainly for stronger tangerine coloring there was a fair amount to choose from. When the RAPTOR came,to get RAPTOR offspring faster you had to breed to a RAPTOR and as the goal was mainly breeding for the eye pattern not meny people was that concerned about the tangerine strenth. Also in the last couple of years the RAPTOR has been out breed to other morphs to make new eclipse morphs the rusult is further diluting the tangerine once again.

So APTOR's have kepted there stronger tangerine color coz there is no point in out breeding them really if you going to out them you may as well use RAPTOR's as you get the APTOR body pattern PLUS the eclipse eye gene.

Somthing along them lines i think :D .

We originally hatched two "Raptors" from Aptor-line parents, and one was alot lighter in color than the other. Since then I have seen many Raptors with the same or better color, so I think it is just a coincidence.

It is just that not all of the geckos display the same amount of Tangerine influence IMO.

I guess I have not had the same visual experience.

I understand the fact that some tangerine has been left behind, but the tangerine that does remain is more ashy than vibrant in the RAPTOR. It seems that even the yellows are less vibrant.
