Maybe I'm misunderstanding or there is some confusion among some people on what a raptor morph is..

The raptor is supposed to be a patternless leo with red eyes but I often seen people posting items like jungle raptor..

Wouldn't that just make it a Tremper albino eclipse w/ jungle patterning and not really a raptor?

that depends on who you ask. Myself i don't think a banded raptor is a raptor, yes i carries the eclipse gene that came out of the raptor line, but to me it is a tremper eclipse.

Steve you are correct... a TRUE Raptor would be a Patternless Stripe Tremper Eclipse. However since it is a combo morph with both genetic morphs and polygenic line bred traits, there are alot of "byproducts" that come about like Banded Raptors, Jungle Raptors, Reverse Stripe Raptors, Striped Raptors, Spotted Raptors ect...

In fact the Tremper Snow you got from me hatched with a slight snake eye, so in theory it could possibly be a Snow Banded Raptor if the possible Eclipse breeds true. But I like to error on the side of caution so labeling your guy as a Snow Tremper poss Eclipse doesn't claim genetics that are not clearly present. Hows he doin by the way?

He's doing well... Still a little skittish so I don't bother him much, but he eats and roams just fine...

Can't wait till next spring to introduce him to his harem ;)
