is it possible to get a raptor from a male Raptor with a female tremper jungle?
This little fellow hatched out today patternless and with red eyes. do i just wait to see if this little guy will keep the red eyes? or is the female het for eclipse and the patternless gene?

well the clutchmate hatched and its a tremper jungle very cute, so the other one must me a raptor as the eyes are bright red and he/she is patternless orange color and some orange on its tail(yayayay)

These guys are cool never know what you are going to get.
The mother of these two laid one other clutch and held out for a month but she looks to be forming eggs again. maybe she absorbed them? I only had the male in with her once i hope they will be fertile

so what are these guys called (raptor x jungle tremper must be het for eclipse)
Raptor
and Jungle tremper het for eclipse (100%?)
I tried to get photos but it doesnt work inside and there too flighty to take them outside:eek:

i would have to go with Raptor x Jungle Tremper het Raptor. That would be the only way to have Raptor's hatch out. you will have to wait a bit for the hatchling to grow to verify eclipsed gene present. If the eyes fade you would have an Aptor het Raptor

If the eyes fade, it's still a RAPTOR by genotype. Just not appearance.

so the mom must be het eclipse then. right.
because i was NOT expecting a raptor just a het
but since its a raptor or looks like one now then she is het for eclipse right?

patternless stripe is the result of reverse stripe and stripe. If you notice on jungles often the tail will have some stripping, and sometimes a broken stripe gecko will have a marbled or jungle tail pattern, this has led me (and many others) to believe that the all stripe and subsequent jungle patterns are related... since your jungle carries the eclipse trait it is descended from stripped geckos. (Ron Tremper unlocked the eclipse trait on accident by breeding different stripe patterns together in search of his A.P.T.Or morph) So your female is more or less het for stripe and her jungle pattern as opposed to a banded pattern is the result.

This doesnt account for all jungle pattern geckos because it seems like other traits may "unlock" jungle patterns, but it does yours.

If anyone cares shes my favorite gecko, likes to explore and get out of her cage and eats like theres no tomorrow. cant get her to eat supers yet i guess dubias taste alot better.
