ratio for vermiculite

what is the ratio vermiculite:water for those deli cups that come with the hovabators with the little holes around the top. Or do you just get wet and squeeze water out of it? And also do you ever have to refresh vermiculite or spray again or something?

I use 0.8 parts water per 1 part vermiculite by weight. I don't put any holes in the egg container, and it will stay a the right moisture level for about 5-6 months in the female incubator (81 degrees), and for 3-4 months in the male incubator (89 degrees). I briefly open the containers every week or two for an air exchange.
