Hi all
ok, my gecko is just on its 3rd week after hatching, after first shed,it was eating daily. i know that they are not supposed to eat daily ut this one was, grew quickly and is already on its 3rd shed! just after 3 weeks!

but ok, i started it mealworms, waxmoth was stopped and used only as a treat. its main diet will be 60% or so mealworms, 30% crickets, 10% treats.

now, today, it didnt touch mealworms, usually i put it in front of its humid box and i9t comes out to eat 1 to 3. on its second week after first shed, it was eating up to 4 to 5 mealworms a day.
today, it didnt eat any. looks at it, stands up as if its gonna come out and sits back down again to sleep. then i put two crickets in, and it eats that lol quickly too.

is this normal?
do they like to have food rotated more? i mean i dont want it to get used to crickets only cos they are a hassle. it was eating mealworms too.
now, this is my take on it,correct me if i am wrong.

they eat when hungry, at times they are not hungry but when food comes by that is very NICE for them to eat like a cricket or a waxworm - then they eat anyways. Like people, we eat for taste not always for hunger.

so this gecko seems to see mealworms as normal food, so if its not too hungry, it wont eat it - but even though its not too hungry, it will still go for waxmoth and crickets because it just looks and tastes nice.

is this right?

also, how often do adults eat?
