Reabsorbing Eggs?

Hello. This is my first time breeding leopard geckos. I'm starting off with breeding 3 of my females - an enigma, a high yellow, and a tremper snow.
I first bred the high yellow (she wasn't proven) at the beginning of January. It seemed she had one egg developing, and it was developing nicely and looked healthy. Then after about 2 weeks of being gravid, it seemed the egg stopped developing. It didn't get any bigger or anything. Now it seems like it's getting smaller. She's eating again, not as much as she used to, but still eating. Could it be possible she's reabsorbing her egg? The male I bred her with was not proven either... And if she is reabsorbing her egg, will she just be gravid again the next month, by using stored sperm? She is 53 grams.

The other female IS proven (the tremper snow), and her eggs seem to be developing nicely as well. However, it's also about 2 weeks into being gravid, and it seems like the same thing is happening. The eggs are starting to slow down in development. She is 55 grams.

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but this is my first time, so I'm not exactly sure what to look for and such.

Thanks in advance

It is possible that they are being reabsorbed. If you still see the pink dots you can try to reintroduce the male. You may or may not get more production from the female. With a lot of our females they don't lay their first clutch of the season until about 4 weeks after they are paired up, and it can seem like they are holding onto them FOREVER. Some do lay the first clutch sooner.

Thanks for the reply. I put her back with the male, but she threw a FIT. She was smacking him with her tail and biting him.. So I'm not sure what's going on. It looks like she fully reabsorbed them.. Will I have to put her back with the male once she's ovulating again, or will she fertilize new eggs again herself with sperm she retained from the first mating?
And btw, it's been more than a month. About 5 or 6 weeks. They seemed to be developing nicely - a nice healthy pink glow was around them, but I don't even really see them anymore.

My other female that's gravid IS proven.. And she has been gravid for about 3 weeks. It looks like her eggs are developing fine, but still so... slowly!

Could it be the male? If he's not a fertile male, would they just be reabsorbing the eggs that aren't developing properly or something?

Sorry, this is my first time breeding. :/ I hope I get at least a couple eggs this season.. I took FOREVER setting up a really nice incubator, and tons of tubs for hatchlings.

Thanks again! :)

Thanks! I actually realized she has been gravid for less than a month. I was thinking of the wrong date for some reason. :p

They still haven't laid their eggs... It seems like they're still at the same stage of development. This is my first time breeding, so I'm really not sure what's going on. The females are showing no signs of laying eggs, and they're going on and off food (Sometimes they're ravenous, sometimes they don't eat at all - this changes throughout the weeks). Their weight is pretty steady.
