It is a "Patternless Stripe", which is the same thing as an Aptor. It is very likely you can produce an "Eclipse" with more than one of those. Maybe its siblings will have the same ability as another like him/her? Im not sure on that part yet.:main_no:

I thought it had to be albino in order to be an aptor? Aptor and Raptor genes confuse me...to much involved. I think they are beautiful I just haven't gotten into them because they seem confusing.
That is a very cool hatchling by the way!

Love the hatchling! I guess if it is a non-albino "APTOR" then it is something special! Either way... he/she is pretty cool!

It is not an APTOR because it is not albino, and not "from" Rons line. But it is a "Patternless RS". These have recently proven to be the same as the "Aptor" as far as the pattern goes, the only thing is we thought maybe they only came from stripe X reverse stripe. If you breed a "Patternless Red Stripe" to an Aptor or Raptor. Guess what? You are hatching "Patternless", and Albino-Eclipse (called RAPTOR)

Nope, they do not need to be albino to be 'patternless'. APTOR is just a name for the albino-'patternless', and a Raptor is a name for an albino-"eclipse".

Grrrr too many names:main_laugh:

Wow! That's some great luck on your side! Looks 100% PRS to me. Were both parents just red stripes? Like someone else mentioned...everyone was thinking it was a result of reverse stripe x red stripe.

Actually, a fair amount of Redstripes hatch out like that. The orange stripes will appear as they hit 15 grams or so. Some of the ones with distinct brownish striping at hatching look very much like the "patternless" ones when they hit 20 grams, as the background color fills in. These were "patternless at hatching; sometimes the sides will darken up, then fade out as the orange fills in.
