My gecko recently had a little piece of shed stick around one of her back toes. when i did notice i assumed she would naturally get it off. I made sure she had a humid hide and began to notice her toe was looking purple-ish. So i recently have been soaking her for about 10-15 min a day hoping to moisten the toe. i did this for about three days. So today i soaked him three times, used a q-tip and a pair a tweezers and removed the toe skin. Only now the toe looks red and swollen and a little misshapen. Is this an infection or something like that or will this just turn normal in a day or so? Should i be worried? Thanks!

I had the same thing with Grendel when we brought him home. He wasn't taken care of properly and had TONS of stuck shed on his toes, most of which were redish/purple. I did the same thing by soaking (with shed ease) for 10-15, then took tweezers to the skin after it was soft. Surprisingly with how bad some of his toes were, we caught it in time and he didn't loose any. Just keep at it.
