I bought a new 40 gallon viv today for my gecko - thought it was about time she got an upgrade.

Anyhow upon transporting it home i have managed to put a huge crack down one of the end panels :(

Has anyone ever replaced one of these and offer any advice? Its an all glass viv and the crack is just down this one end panel.

You will have to carefully remove the top an bottom frame, cut the broken panel loose, scrape away all the old silicone, then sit the new glass panel in place and re-seal it with silicone. GE Silicone 1 is an aquarium/terrarium safe silicone sealant.

Thanks thats a great help, much appreciated. It sounds fairly straight forward. What about the new glass panel, would it have to be any particular strength of glass?
