not that I'm aware of. your best bet is hamburg or whiteplains... both would be far though.

I don't bite, so if you can get to my area....I can take you to a show if you'd like.

There probably will never be a reptile show in NJ because our reptile regulations suck. Hamburg is pretty good and not too hard to get too. From South Jersey it's about a 1 and a half to 3 hour drive depending on traffic and roadwork. The trip is pretty scenic though so it's not so bad.

Yeah, no venomous or crocodilian reptiles here and you need to be over 18 to work at most places that involve handling animals.

imo the problem is the permits you must have in jersey, not only as an animal dealer which is $100 yearly (yes i have one) or they have a 1 show price i cant recall what it is right now, but you must have each buyer fill out a temp. permit and the they have to send it into the state with a $10 fee (the $10 covers unlimited reptiles). then you have alot of other laws pertaining to the specific animal such as corn snakes. it used to be that only "albino" corns were allowed (corn snakes are indegious to nj and endangered) and they defined albino as having red eyes but what about anery. corns? they have since amended the law to cover aprox. 6 corn morphs. but we know there are many more. SO BASICALLY JERSEY SUCKS LOL. i was looking into trying and have one at raritan center convention hall but its not as easy as it seems, and for some reason the philly shows dont attract large crowds so i guess its white plains and hamburg. I had to get a permit here for freaking African Dwarf frogs. The trick is, get the papers, act intent upon filling them out at the pet store, then never send them in. The permit for the frogs was I think $20 and the frogs themselves were about $1.50 each. You also can't buy or sell turtles here which sucks because I always wanted a turtle. Leopard geckos were my second choice and I like them more now.

my permits have always been filled out falsely for 20+ years:main_lipsrsealed:
I don't even bother anymore. They're ridiculous. I used to keep a lot of frogs and they had a lot of permits for them. Oddly enough I never had to fill one out for a leo which I find odd since I've had to fill them out for just about everything but fish (well almost, I had a couple fish you did need a permit for).
