If you were here I could help you out, lol. But the best way to find out is to call a few vet offices and ask the vet assistants that answer the phones if they know of any exotic vets in the area. Call a couple different ones to see if they reeccomend the same ones or different. People in the vet community hear which vets suck and they probably won't rec the bad ones so the name that you hear the most is probably the best. Then call those vets and ask for some prices: office visit charge, fecal charge, and blood work charge. You should be able to gauge the price differences with those.

Hi there,

I haven't had to take my leo to the vet but I have a list of vets out in western MA that supposedly see reptiles. I've copied in the prices from my initial inquiry way back so call and make sure prices haven't changed or anything, darned economy.

Westover animal clinic: $48 initial visit. $75 client. $125 new patient emergency visit. All payment accepted.

South Hadley animal clinic: $55 initial visit. $55 emergency visit. All payment accepted.

Amherst vet clinic: got answering machine.

Also there's the "Odd Pet Vet" whom I've heard very good things about. If I had the choice that's where I'd go, unless it was an emergency and needed to bee seen asap. No idea about prices though, probably pricey. I've been there to visit and the facilities are fantastic, they do wildlife stuff too.
