Hello everyone,

Is it safe to supplement ZooMed's Reptivite to hatchlings dusted on their tenebrio?

It should be fine, as long as you have a bottle cap of plain calcium in their cage. Personally, I use the Rephashy Calcium Plus for dusting with great success.

Can that be ZooMed's Repti Calcium without D3 as I have on the adults? Do newborn hatchlings also need it available at all times?

IMO Newborn hatchlings need Calcium as much as breeding females if not more. I would provide them all with a soda cap full in their tank at all times. Good luck!

Thank you for the help.

I think I read before in the forum you saying that you also use Reptivite. Can that be dusted in every feeding or is it safer to just do it every other feeding? I mean both hatchlings and adults.

I used to use herptivite but since my bottle ran out I have been keeping a bit of vionate in the food dishes of the hatchlings (the mealworms eat it as they wait to be eaten) and dusting feeders with Repashy Calcium Plus. I think calcium is the most important thing for hatchlings to have. I don't think dusting with vitamins every feeding would hurt but I think it's unnecessary, I think every other feeding would be fine.

Does Vionate already include calcium?

Do you think instead of keeping a tiny dish with plain calcium inside the tubs if I keep a mix of Vionate and ZooMed's Calcium inside the mealworm dish could also work?
