We rescued a little gecko at a chain store awhile back. Well, I wasn't sure what was wrong with him at first. He had missing toes, a back deformity(which we think was a bite from a larger gecko or animal), a kinked tail and he was pretty skinny. Well, after som research, I've come to the conclusion he has extensive MBD. His back leg was almost completely imoble.

Well, he also wasn't eating. I made up a batch of Marcia's slurry and added some extra calcium into it. I think he wasn't eating because his jaw was too soft. I've had him on slurry for two weeks now and I think it's starting to help with the MBD. I threw a few waxies in his tank because they are soft. I put one infront of him and he ate it! And then he ate another! And this was right after he was full of slurry! lol. So, he's eating now and I'm very happy that it seems like he is going to make it. His stool is hardening up with the whole foods too. I'm just glad that this little guy is makeing a come back. He's a feisty little thing!

Thanks for the recipe Marcia! It's helped to save our little gecko and put some weight on him. We really appreciate it! :iloveyou:

Thanks! We will keep everyone updated. He's been so active lately running...well sort of "gimping" around the tank. He's got a 29 gallon all to himself and he's so happy with that!
