Rescued a Leo-does it need a vet?

I rescued a Leo yesterday from somebody who had been feeding it insects from outside. It looks fairly healthy so far, except for being a bit thin. (I'm quarantining for 90 days anyhow). I'm wondering if it needs to go to the vet to be de wormed or anything? Is there anything else special I need to do for this one?

I would take it to the vet with a poo sample to test for parasites, would rather be safe, especially since it was eating insects from outside. Bless you for rescuing it.

Plus the vet can check it out for possible MBD and give it a good look over.

Update- the vet is concerned that the Leo might have crypto because her belly was very blue, so I gave a fecal to be sent in for a test. In the mean time, can anyone provide some info on crypto for me or link me to an article?

Crypto is bad, it's incurable in geckos and will transmit very easily from one to another. So personal hygiene is key when messing with a possible crypto case. I would personally use disposable gloves when handling anything in the tank and wash your hands very well before touching another animal until you know for sure.

Thanks. I've heard enough about it to be scared, but I'd like to know as much as possible. I'm really hoping it's not that.
