Hi I just rescued a baby beardie female from a lady that can't take care of her. She's around 8 mos thats what she told me , She eats ok 2 0r 3 big crickets a day and loves walking around her new place . I have her on a 20 gal long for now she's small and planning on getting her the 40gal 0r 50gal long later on when she gets older. I dust her crickets pretty much everyday and I put a 75 watts UVB basking light on her basking spot. I hope I'm doing it right since I'm new to this LOL...... and I bought her the wet food instant food it has all the vitamins etc it says still I dust her crickets and as for baths I had her for 5 days now and tomorrow I will give her a bath since I wanted her to get use to me and her new place. Oh yeah shes the one on my avatar Sexy Daisy LOL :p she loves being handle at first day she didn't want to then later on she looks for it every time she sees me she looks at me and starts going to the glass :D so pls any one let me know what else I can do to keep her healthy and yeah she hasn't eaten the moist food yet and hopefully she will soon I just have to keep on giving it until she tries it.

She's beautiful! Shows GREAT color potential!

I just have to put in my 2 cents about one thing:
I must strongly urge against the sand. Especially for a young beardie (though I would never use it). They're very clumsy when they hunt, and very curious tasters! Ingesting the sand could cause complications such as impaction. Remember - In the wild, bearded dragons live on compact clay/sand mixtures and rocks, not sand dunes! If you want to go natural, I suggest textured tile.

Tile, repticarpet, newspaper, paper towel, and butcher paper are all great alternatives.

;) And of course, make sure you have a reliable UVA/UVB source, a basking spot that reaches aprox 110 degrees Fahrenheit, and so-on and so forth.

Best of luck!
