Retained eyelid shed - rescue! please help

There is a free leopard gecko and he has had retained eyelid shed for over 6 months. Does anyone know a rough price range for vet removal and treatment?? Id like to help him but I don't have a whol lot of money to spend. Please let me know if you've ever taken your gecko to the vet for this or know the price! I feel horrible for him... he's just been used as a breeder and not properly caredd for
